So what’s going on tonight? Barbacoa Mexican Grill celebrates its second anniversary with $2 tacos, margaritas, and drafts. Plus, Matt Lyons will perform live.
Barbacoa made a name for itself with freshly made meals, heaping burritos, and a family friendly atmosphere. It also hosts a local’s night every month with food and drink specials. Located in 30Avenue, Barbacoa is just north of Rosemary Beach.
Tomorrow night, head to The Bay for a bonfire on the beach. The Bay won 2016’s Best of the Best Award, Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence, and 30A’s Hot Spot Award for Beer, Seafood, and lunch with a view. Every Wednesday night from 6-9 p.m., The Bay presents local musicians on the outdoor patio. Big cozy couches line the sand and the bonfire flickers to life on the Bayfront beach. The ambience, combined with Chef Jim Shirley’s award winning menu—where else would you want to be on a Wednesday night?
As for Thursday night, make your way to Grand Boulevard for a free adaption of “The Taming of the Shrew.” The Emerald Coast Theater Company presents Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy every Thursday night, now through August 3. The show begins at 8 p.m. and is free to the public. Free kids activities are also held on the lawn (between Cantina Laredo and Tommy Bahama’s) at 7 p.m. This week, Abrakadoodle will offer art education activities before the actors take center stage.
