Go Southern Sponsors Restoration of Destin Fishing BoatPosted on 11/06/14
If you have owned Destin real estate for a number of years then you may know the Primrose, a wooden vessel currently on display on the Destin History and Fishing Museum. You may also know it has been in need of a restoration.
The Shoults and Veach families of Go Southern are proud to be providing the funding for said restoration. The Primrose was originally constructed in 1925 and is an original member of the Destin fishing fleet. The vessel has been dry docked and on display for many years, a popular Destin attraction at the local history museum.
Once the rehabilitation of the Primrose is complete it will find a new home at a historical park being designed and built by D.A.G. Construction near the museum. The project is expected to be complete by mid-December and the official dedication will take place on the city’s Founders Day on May 15, 2015.
